After a wild night in the city, a Jewish farm girl stumbles home with a Czech refugee who stays the night and then refuses to leave. A one-woman autobiographical coming-of-age tale filled with a disapproving dad, hippies, heifers, and steaming potato dumplings.  Show runs about one (1) hour. A previous incarnation of this show, “Getting it Wrong” played to standing-room-only crowds at the 2002 San Francisco Fringe Festival.

Director:  Brian Glenn Bryson

Bryson HeadshotBrian is the Founder and Artistic Director of the award winning Walking Elephant Theatre Company where young humans walk a mile in the shoes of their neighbors and then create original documentary plays about the elephant in the room. Plays they’ve created include: “Petaluma River Anthology”, “the HABIT project,” “Civil Disobedience – The Musical” (Editor’s Pick in Theatre Bay Area magazine), “The BULLY Theatre/Film Project,” “Prop 8 Love Stories” (which traveled to NYC for an Off-Off-Broadway run, was “Critics Pick” in Time Out New York magazine, voted “Best Special Theater Event” – Broadway World, and was published.)

Brian is currently working with a group of 7 to 17-year-olds in Sonoma County on an original play that explores ideas about how to live a life without exploitation or pollution; a life participating in the upliftment of all beings. The play is called “WILD NEIGHBORS (Rediscovering What it is to be Human).” Brian’s website.
